Juventus Turin have taken another step towards their fifth consecutive win of the Italian Football Cup.
Juve won the last 16 against FC Bologna 2-0 (1-0). The leading goal was scored by Federico Bernardeschi (9) and 18-year-old Moise Kean (49). Sami Khedira wore the captain’s armband for the record champions, Emre Can was also in the starting line-up. Cristiano Ronaldo came off the bench after an hour in the game against the club threatened with relegation in the league.
Last year’s finalist AC Milan had previously won against Sampdoria Genoa 2-0 in extra time with two goals from Patrick Cutrone. Lazio Rom won 4-1 against Novara. Italian media reported anti-Semitic chants from the Lazio curve.
Juve and Milan face each other in the Italian Supercup on Wednesday in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia).
